Elon Musk has been inspiring the entrepreneurs all across the world. Be it the space industry or electric vehicles, Musk has set the bar high. This time, Elon Musk has set his eyes on the restaurant industry.
Multiple media reports confirm that Tesla, the company owned by Musk, has filed a new trademark for its brand under restaurant services. Interestingly, the eateries are expected to be around car charging stations.
Details say that the company has applied for three new trademarks in the restaurant industry recently. As of now, the company has not set any timeline for launching the restaurants.
Musk has been surprising the world with his tweets. His social media handle is arguably one of the most influential when it comes to the business world. Through his tweet, the entrepreneur had revealed venturing into the food business as early as 2018.
What’s the catch
As they say:
I came, I saw, I conquered.
So is the case with Elon Musk as the business magnate seems to conquer every other industry due to smart learning.
Even in this case, the restaurant chain is tied to the success of Tesla’s electric cars. If Tesla thrives, so would the eateries. On the other hand, if Tesla fails to increase its market cap, the Tesla restaurants would also go down as there would be less car owners.
The biggest threat of Tesla restaurants seems to be against mighty fast food chains like Subway, KFC, McDonalds and others. If Tesla replaces other automobiles, Tesla restaurants would replace these fast food chains largely. This is because of the fact that commuters would prefer taking burgers while their car is being charged.
On the other hand, even if existing fast food chains install charging stations, it would help supplement Tesla’s business. In this case, aspiring Tesla customers would have more options to charge their cars at multiple locations. In any case, Elon Musk is appearing to be successful.
